Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This Privacy Policy covers personal data handled through labelmentor.com, enquiries, discovery-call requests and LabelMentor's sourcing, branding and launch-support services. It explains our processing rather than asking you to consent to every use of data by visiting the website.

1. Contact and responsibility

LabelMentor is responsible for the purposes and handling of the business and customer information described here. Contact us at contact@labelmentor.com for privacy questions or requests. The company operating LabelMentor is identified in our Legal Notice.

Shopify hosts the website and checkout. Shopify and other providers can also be responsible for data they process for their own services, as explained below.

2. Information involved

  • Enquiries and bookings: your name, email, optional phone number, brand or idea, message, requested date and time, and optional project details such as target market and budget.
  • Client projects: business contact details, briefs, correspondence, approvals and the materials you supply for the agreed work. We may receive relevant business contact information from your colleagues or the suppliers involved in your project.
  • Purchases: billing details, the service purchased, order and payment references, transaction status, and customer-account details if you use an account. Payment credentials are processed through the checkout and relevant payment provider; they should not be sent in an enquiry.
  • Website activity: IP address, browser and device information, pages and actions on the store, security logs, cookies and similar identifiers handled by the website platform. The website also stores your chosen language in browser local storage.

Required form fields let us reply or provide the requested service. Optional project details are voluntary. You can browse without submitting an enquiry; we may be unable to process a booking or order without its necessary contact or billing information. Please avoid including health information, identification documents or unnecessary personal data in project messages.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

  • Responding and planning: we use contact and project information to answer your request, arrange a call or prepare a proposal. The legal ground is steps requested before a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business representatives.
  • Delivering agreed work: project communication, administration and payments are processed to perform the contract, or to manage the business relationship with the organisation you represent.
  • Records and protection: tax and other required records are processed for legal obligations. Preventing misuse, securing the service and handling claims rely on our legitimate interests, subject to your rights.
  • Optional marketing and tracking: where consent is required, it is the legal basis. A discovery-call request does not by itself subscribe you to a newsletter. You can decline optional marketing and withdraw consent.

4. Providers and project partners

Relevant information may be handled by Shopify, payment processors, email and communication providers, and providers of the tools used to administer your project. We share the information needed for their role. Where a manufacturer or specialist needs project information to quote or perform approved work, we share relevant details for that purpose. Independent suppliers may be controllers under their own privacy notices.

Accountants, legal advisers or authorities may receive information where needed for their duties or a lawful request. If the business is transferred, relevant records may be disclosed subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

Shopify processes store data to operate the platform. When you use Shop, Shop Pay or other Shopify consumer features, its own purposes and privacy choices may also apply. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal, including choices concerning personalised advertising.

5. Cookies and browser preferences

Platform cookies support checkout, security and store operation. Browser local storage remembers the selected language. Non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, where used, require consent in jurisdictions where the law requires it. Any consent choices offered by the store should be used to manage those technologies. Browser settings can also clear cookies and language preferences, although blocking necessary storage can affect checkout.

This notice does not authorise optional tracking or replace a consent control. For details of Shopify's platform technologies, see its Cookie Policy.

6. Retention and international processing

Enquiry and booking information is retained while needed to answer the request, arrange the call and handle relevant follow-up. Project records are retained for the working relationship and afterwards where needed for contractual obligations, accounting, legal requirements or claims. Retention depends on the record, applicable statutory periods and any continuing dispute; unnecessary data should be deleted or anonymised. Contact us for information about a particular record.

Shopify and other providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area or the UK. Transfers subject to those laws must use an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful mechanism. You can ask us about the relevant safeguards and how to obtain a copy.

7. Your choices and rights

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, you may request access, correction, deletion, restricted processing and portability, subject to the conditions of those rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Consent can be withdrawn without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Email contact@labelmentor.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it within that first month. You can also complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work. The European Data Protection Board directory lists EU authorities.

8. Security, children and changes

Appropriate safeguards are required to protect personal data, but no online system offers absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe data has been disclosed improperly. The professional services are intended for adults; tell us if a child has submitted information so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

LabelMentor's booking and project decisions are made by people. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about your eligibility for these services solely by automated processing.

We may revise this notice when the service or processing changes. The date above identifies the current version. Additional information will be provided where a new purpose or applicable law requires it.
